abstract Inspections and intervals between inspections are often controlled by various parameters in the aviation industry. One of them is the method related to the p-set function, which determines the probability of crack formation and its impact on the service life of a component. It especially concerns polymer matrix composite components. Consequently, a deeper look into the basic principles and analysis of economics is needed, which will develop the theory and broaden the perspective from different angles.
