abstract This paper investigates the influence of the geometric parameters of specimens on the reliability of the obtained tensile strength test results. Based on ISO 527, the shape of the specimens (type 2) and their dimensions were chosen, as well as the test method. The extreme dimensions of the specimens are juxtaposed to illustrate the differences in the tensile strength results.
