abstract The results of investigations of properties of PA6/PP blends with titanium white modified the polyvinylpyrrolidone was presented. For purpose of investigation, domestic thermoplastic materials have been used, namely: polyamide 6 with commercial name of Tarnamid T - 27 and polypropylene with commercial name of Malen PJ - 400. Polymer mixing is presently one of the most effective and the most intensely developing methods of physical properties modification for polymers. The importance of polymer mixing is still on the increase. Polymeric mixtures play crucial role in development of application of technological polymers. During last twenty years mixtures of polymers have gained on interest, as they have appeared as new group of polymeric materials with interesting and sometimes very specific properties. The main purpose of polymeric mixtures manufacturing is wish to eliminate or reduce drawbacks which polymers are characterised with and also to strive for reduction of the price of expensive polymers with particular, very precious properties by mixing them with cheaper polymers but without significant deterioration of their properties. Next purpose is to combine certain important properties of both polymers with reduction their individual disadvantages. Moreover, manufacturing of mixtures out of already existing polymers is faster than finding and manufacturing of new polymers. Finalization of production of mixtures on a big commercial scale is cheaper as it is based, in many cases, only on mixing processes and, unlike synthesis of new polymers, it requires much less capital investment. Mixing polymers one can modify certain properties, mainly physical, e.g. density, hardness, impact resistance, tensile strength etc. To obtain polymer plastic with defined properties, polymer mixtures on basis of both polymer with heterotypic and homotypic structure are manufactured. The basis to obtain homogeneity as well as defined structure and properties of prepared polymer plastic is mutual miscibility of polymers. Usually additional components are applied to simplify mixing of polymers; they usually act reactively, and, in consequence, chemical modification of the input polymer acheaved, along with chemical structure and in the micromolecular structure change. In the work some investigation results have been presented for PA6 which is miscible in viscoelastic state with polymer, with ability to create physical bounds with substances of inorganic as well as organic origins. For this purpose, polyvinylpyrrolidone (PWP) has been used with law molecular weight (12±2k). PWP is characterized by a high complex-creating ability which, in consequence, has been the reason for its large application for medicine as highly-sorptive component and for textile industry for stabilizing of colouring agents.
