abstract Due to the material properties and promising technology production, textile reinforced thermo-plastic composites offer substantial potential for applications in large mass productions in the automotive industry as well as in machine construction. Alongside the popular technologies of winding and knitting (weaving), a great possibility now exists to use a new centrifugal method to produce reinforced thermo-plastic composites in industrial applications by using hybrid fibers. Only after close analysis of the strength of tube samples and optimization of the production process will the production potential of completed composite structures using the centrifugal method be able to be realized. Applied hybrid-textile mats were particularly prepared for this method of production, moreover, the pressing forces necessary to consolidation of composite materials were obtained by form rotation. Due to continuous improvement and modernization of fast turning stand, controlling system, as well as optimization of manufacturing process, first tube samples, used to determine material properties, were obtained. Application of this method delivered a very good research data, meeting all pre-conditions of "Near-Net-Shape" method, that is, tubes did not need extra finishing processes, after being taken out. The application of thermoplastic material, in form of powder added during the process, enabled the increase gauge of the tube side. In the frame of the optimization of manufacturing tubes of thermoplastic textiles materials, a research into the influence of added powder on a sample endurance was borne out. Tube samples produced with centrifugal method compared with plates produced with a press method, both made of the same hybrid textile mates, showed a strength increase of the same material, in the case of applying a centrifugal method during impregnation. All research has been conducted in cooperation with the Institute of Material Science and Applied Mechanics in Wroclaw.
